IIS Search Function

Dear Moderators,

This evening I noticed that the search function does not seem to filter correctly in terms of differentiating site, forum and web.

Example

In the search box, I type "M45"

With the Site radio button selected I get about 663,000 results with virtually all external web based links.
For forum radio button selected I get the exact same (663,000)
With web radio button I get about 773,000.

Previously I was able to search and return only results within IIS.

The result is the same whether logged on or off and I have used this function (and exact same search) on the same computer approx 2 weeks ago with the right results. Using Win 7 with IE 9.

Cheers,
Darrin...

Hi Darrin

Are you using the Search on the left menu, or the Search in the blue nav bar above the forum?

G'Day Mike,

I just about always search via the left menu search & rarely use the blue nav bar search.

I just checked a minute ago and no change (12:12AM WST 1/12/11).

Cheers,
Darrin...

Hi Darrin

Someone else reported that problem recently too, just last week.

For now, you can go to Google directly and type "M45 site:www.iceinspace.com.au" and it will perform the function you're looking for.
Or use the blue nav bar 'search' above to search within the forums, and I'll get Terry to look at the Google site search.

Thanks Mike and Terry, it's nice to have the "old" search function back!
