Mars 18:21UT 14th November

Here is Mars this morning 4:21am AEST from Brisbane. Canon EOS 600D, 5x Powermate, 12" Sky-Watcher Goto Dobsonian, manually guided.

Nice one Tom. I guess Mars season is officially open!

Looking forward to the upcoming Mars opposition. Even though the circumstances are pretty poor, it's the first one since I've had some half decent kit to image with.

Thanks Paul and Ray. The whiteish blob at the top of the disc (not the pole at the bottom) doesn't look like it is an imaging artefact. I don't know much about Mars imaging at all, could it be clouds?
