Sun Today

Hi all thought you may be interested in these. I have been fortunate enough to get a Lunt 100mm Single stack. The eyepiece view is literally unbelievable especially the Filaments. Here are a few pics captured with a GSTAREX video camera and stacked in Registax 5 with a little more in Picasa.

Lovely images Derek. The prominences look out of this world! In #4, there is a long filament on the disc at around the 11 o-clock position that looks awesome.

Congratulations on the new gear btw!

Cheers

Dennis

Some lovely sharp shots there Derek, especially the big prom. The full disc shot is a little dark IMO.

Nice prom detail there Derek! Congrats on the 100mm Lunt. I got the LS80 and am happy. The 100 is right in the sweet spot for seeing and brightness. Look forward to some great shots. Wanna swap scopes?

Thanks all. Al any comments appreciated good or bad. The disc was a quick test shot. I put a 0.5 Focal Reducer on my camera and got the full disc on the chip(1/2"). Great for a quick overview.
