The other life of Brian

I was reading our local area newspaper today and was amazed to discover that Nobel prize winner Brian Schmidt lives in Wamboin as well and only about 12km from me.

And when he is not observing supernova's he runs a small winery called "Maipenrai" which turns out a very decent Pinot Noir. To add to his list of awards his winery has also just been awarded 4 star status.

http://www.maipenrai.com.au/

Currently all his vintages are sold out but the 2009 vintage will be available from December.

Definitely a man of many talents.

We'll may well be rubbing shoulders soon too Ric. I'm seriously considering moving down to the ACT in January next year. All things going well.

I hope you enjoy your new digs at Parliament House Mrs. Prime Minister

JJ, how are you going to handle all the minus 10 degree nights and all the snow?
