A bit of sunbaking

Last week we had some beautiful sunny days and high temps which brought this fellow out for a spot of sunbaking on the verandah.

I'm pretty sure it's a Bluetongue but the colours are throwing me off, I've never seen those types of colours before.

I couldn't think of a more worthy bit of wildlife to give the panoramic treatment! You are so blessed to have these little guys hanging around mate! I've yet to see one here in my yard..(Strangely enough)

Blotched Bluetongue. I believe that are found in the south east. We get the eastern one mostly.

We get the Bluetongues visiting a lot around here (no snail problem for us).

We had another visitor by the dam this morning, it looked like a Water Dragon and almost a metre long from tip to tail but by the time I got the camera he was well gone. I'll keep an eye out in case he returns.
