WinZip and APT-having issues.

Hello.

I just got the new version of APT,and trying to upload it it to my newer computer, but having issues. The file is there-but I cannot open it,I tried the newest free trail version of winzip. But its still not working.

On my old computer it loaded up-no problems, there is an older version of winzip that seems to work fine. But that computer will not work the cameras. The newer on does work the cameras, but not APT.

Any links to a free winzip that works would be most appreciated,or any advice on what to do to get this new computer to work winzip and open APT.

Thanks,Chris

re zip

Ok,Warren-which version?.this is a 'Windows 7' OP system.

Had another look at this 'free' winzip' I had-you had to buy something to get it working.I just dumped it.

Someone gave me a 'winzip' copy years ago at astrofest-its on the older computer-works fine,I thought I had the file on a USB but cannot find it.I think jjj gave it to me .if anyone has it or the link.I might be able inastall it on this newer computer, and get APT going

Thanks Chris

re zip

Thanks Warren

Got it working! that 7-zip is the ticket.I down loaded it,and was able to get
APT going.I plugged the 450D and its talking to each other!

That APT is one useful program, all I need now is some clear weather. But its very warm here today, but contrails in sky-might get a storm tonight.

Anyhow, thanks again Warren, anyone who wants to do their eyes a favour,at night while astro imaging-buy this APT,great product-the after sales sevice Ivo gives is brilliant

Cheers Chris
