M31 + mp 372 Palma

Hi all, With info from Rob K. of the close proximity of asteroid mp 372 Palma to the Andromeda galaxy I had a go at it last night. M31 reaches a peak altitude of 14 degrees, and was shot at less than that for this 28x2 minute exposure image.

Also included a full size crop to show the asteroid a bit clearer.

Used Takahashi Astrograph and Astro 40D.

Another nice image Lester. Well done. This must be quite low in the sky.

Thanks Steve. Wish I was 2,000kms north then many of the nice northern object would come into view, plus would still get all the objects in the south.

All the best.
