I decided to sell my mini lathe and also bench drill to help fund a much needed observatory (wife has no idea yet, hehe). I remember some time ago a few people were after such equipment, just hoping there are still some interested.
She probably complained that you spent more time in the garage than with her and you have compromised with an observatory. That will cause the same problems of neglect
Put your foot down you will need both to pursue a hobby of astronomy.
