Ken, the best way to report these is to use the "Report PM" button in the PM system. That way it brings it to the attention of the moderator and the user can be banned.
In this case, someone had already done that and the user is already banned.

LOL you're a classic, Bert. You're happy to use IceInSpace when it suits you - IE trying to sell your stuff, but you'll take any opportunity to try and put the site down.
It's quite funny, and sad for you.

Yep, my initial aim was to warn other members in case they recieved the same PM, but then I forgot to click on Report to Moderator
Glad someone else did.

How much was the PST? An eager seller may sell cheap!

Yeah, those members who buzz in and use the forum to their advantage, flogging their crappy goods, then disappearing back to their own world, while having nothing worthwhile to contribute sure are annoying, aren't they Bert?

Ken, I've had this same spam through my email recently. Luckily the Google spam filter picked it up first time.

Stephen

My Point was simple enough.
IE: Bot 'Members' are allowed to auto register and spam users.
Typical Responses are to 'Get Personal' first..then and ignore the point!

Yeah, it was the insinuation that there's a thousand bots on the site that contributes to the membership count (as you've mentioned in the past, I'm sure), that gets up people's noses.

Something that could be easily proven.. but I doubt one would ever be given the opportunity to do so here
It wouldnt look good. So do I get banned now?

Bert,
Mike has repeatedly said that bots do not count to the total membership.
It is quite understandable that people sign up, but never post, or lose interest, or what have you. It happens time and time again on message boards all over the web.
IceInSpace is not a commercial venture. What does it have to gain by misrepresenting membership counts?

Sure, have a closed, gated community - that's one way to stop bot registrations. Bert can have that type of forum; while the real friendships and community happen here on IceInSpace.
He's not banned (like the thousands of bots that don't contribute to the member count are), but he won't be selling any more stuff on IceInSpace.
