Hi Peter

Nice to know that it has arrived and ready for action.
However you know that you will be the cause of a lousy holiday weekend. There will be rain and clouds etc.

Barry

Good to see it's all sorted Peter. Perhaps you could name the retailer - it's nice to know who's giving good after sales service.

Which particular aberrations did the first ota suffer from?

well in for a quick cuppa tea.. the seeing is quiet poor but very enjoyable as that front is coming up..well i struggled with alignment stars cloud everywhere skipping stars till i got 2 i could see aligned successful and know lets see !!!!!!! wow every object perfect in centre of eyepiece all over the sky..the best couple of hours iv'e had in 12 months not struggling with scope at all.......woooooooohooooooooo i'm bloody excited.....

i don't want to say to much about the old scope but it was a terrible goto problem....and the retailer i bought the scope of was bintel....and let's just say they bent over backwards to get this fixed as barry also knows the scope was at his house to...everybody involved has been fantastic and it has been much appreciated.... even meade got straight onto it and sorted it out....
what more can you ask for..well finish this cuppa and back out there before the rain comes ....

Great to see that Bintel stepped up to the plate but they generally do. I've had excellent service from them in the past but it doesn't stop the heartache in between and it sooooooo difficult to keep on pushing at times.
Great you are now satisfied and enjoy the new scope as it's great when it all works well.
