Post What the heck is this "Quantum Jumping" business??

Anyone got any idea what it is??

Do they want you to "tunnel" through to the "other side" without occupying anything in between???

I have resisted the urge to find out... but yes it pops up a bit.
I suspected it may be a new wrinkle on positive thinking or the like.
"quantum" is becoming a grab word say like "turbo" years ago.
Maybe they are selling something???

What happens if you suffer from a multiple personality disorder?
Which personality takes precedence in Quantum jumping?

I like all of my counterparts find this garbage.

I looked

Solid stuff about stuff not being solid

There are a few folk around who cherry pick and make an apple pie... seems more of the same.

I certainly believe in the power of imagination enabling one to do things one feels is the realm of others more talented gifted etc. However most things need an ingredient of work to get off the ground so if you want to be an artist at least get a paint box.

I have friends who offer quantum physics and in particular the "uncertainty principle" to support all sorts of nonsence. I add they know zip about science and less about the branch we call physics.

They have no idea what the uncertainty principle actually says or deals with and grab the title and build different subject matter... and so we can do anything because of the uncertainty principle... anything can happen....mmm so that is how shape shifting works whatever..and yes anything can be explained because anything is possible. mmmm funny none of these folk do anything but exist and talk about the soul, ones spirit etc etc......mmmm2012 comes up as well.
What do you say... nothing belief wins over facts every time.

A mate has been conned by one of these self improvement courses..he has spent over $20,000 on courses seminars even went to the USA for a course.
He is convinced of the value and plans more courses...

This would be right up his alley...in fact I bet by the time I visit him again he will be onto "quantum jumping"....

mmm if anything is posible is it posible that these things are just cons.

Well its a business when it all boils down.
They sell the most import thing for humans..stuff that fills their empty lives..so many things are offered to fill the empty....and those of us who dont need it are the minority I would suggest.

Easy, Steven.........invoke the relative state formulation and then whatever answer you get will be predicated on whoever takes the first peek at it. Or jump, as it seems

Hey Alex, I thought that when you pick cherries and made a pie, it was a cherry pie??

They might think they have all the answers but it's probably more a case of the philosopher being stoned rather than miraculous transmutation via a stone

My point is Carl the inputs (cherries ...particular observation of selected facts) have little to do with the output (apple pie is an unexpected result when using cherries)...

I wish I could blame drugs for my mates condition but in most respects he presents as normal sober well read a life experience you could make a movie about etc... he has no excuse in my view.

Anywyas back to studying early man and dark energy today I am quantum jumping into antropology and physics...
.

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to have a grizzle.

Oh, yes! It just sounds so appealing and it's based on "real" science.
This is an abuse of the results of proper scientific studies. It turns serious research into science fiction so that the perpetrator can virtually steal money from the more gullible in our community.
It is no better than the myriad "elixir of youth" products that have been sold to an unquestioning public over thousands of years.

A quantum jump is moving foward suddenly by the Planck length!

This is a distance of 1.6X10^-35 m a doddle really!

Hi Carl & All,

Bedevere: " ... and that my liege is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped."

Arthur: "This new learning amazes me Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes."

Bedevere: "Certainly my liege!"

(They too were seeking a Holy Grail).

Best,

Les D

I started to read about quantum, then quantum states, leaps, jumps, atomic electron transition, then the Hisenberg uncertainty , entanglement etc then it got into the maths.

thats when it all got confusing, more amd more complicated my head started to spin, so I think I'll leave it up to the boffins.

An infinite number of dimensions we can contact based on an infinite number of choices we've made eh??? In that case, I'll just wait for the 'me' in the dimension where I made the choice to care come and see me... Lol

I think it is similar to learning to fly as per Douglas Adams technique.
The trick is to fall to the ground and miss.
