The Aston Martin DB5 model replica to build

I wasn't serious in purchasing the latest offering of 'weekly installment' promotional magazines, especially after the debacle I saw with a couple of friends and the O scale Flying Scotsman locomotive (not sure if it is the same company).

JB's Aston Martin DB5 can be built in weekly installments by purchasing the magazine from your local newsagents.... etc etc... you know the story of how these work, I'm sure, and I'm also sure that many of you will not be surprised at the 'hidden' costs. I went to their website just out of curiosity http://www.007db5.com.au/?gclid=CKeW...FWdLpgodMSvhvw

85 installments: (Issue 1 @ $4.99, issue 2 @ $9.99, each issue thereafter @ $19.99 = TOTAL = $1670.83
mmm... pass

Hmmmmnnn.
Yes.
Pass indeed.
One of the Bond DB5s (there were 3? I think) lived for several years in North Vancouver (Canada).
It was displayed in a glass cage in front of an all-you-can-eat restaurant!
I believe it's moved on now, but it always gave me a thrill.

BTW - Hold on to your fantasies and never drive one.
OK engine but iffy handling and sloppy brakes.

A 1:8 scale model is a good size and die cast as well.

But it's definitely hard to judge the quality from the videos and I suspect it is way overpriced as well.

My Partner got me the first part of the model, I did some research seen the final cost and told her to just give me the $1650 she was going to spend on it for eyepieces
