I snapped a few photos of the rather spectacular RWC opening fireworks display we had in Auckland yesterday. It was New Zealand's biggest fireworks ever and the view was awesome. This was shot from our house in the hills west of Auckland.
I have not tried photographing fireworks before but I think the photos came out very nice, much better than I expected! I got ready some 10 mins before and tried various exposures and ISO settings. I settled for ISO80 and 4 second exposures, and then I let the camera snap away continously during the spectacle.
