Kilcoy Wood Wine and Art Festival

A heads up to anyone in South East Queensland looking for a beaut day out this weekend.
There's some beautiful hand crafted wood work and local wine tastings. I'm with the Kilcoy Art Society and there are some very talented artists within the group.
I'll be setting up my usual display of Astro Images and will be there all day Saturday talking Astronomy.
So don't be a stranger, come over and havachat.

Just talking to a mate about that just this second. I sign all the prints I sell, and I was thinking how vain is that. But it's just protecting my work too.

While we are on the subject of festivals the Santos Food and Fire Festival 2011 is on in Roma on the 10th September. Good food and entertainment for everyone. 20 nationalities of food.

WOW,never heard of amateur astronomers' hand signing their images-you must be very famous jjj!!!

Also on this weekend is the BLACKBUTT BLOOMIN' BEAUTIFUL expo.Lots of plant displays.outdoor type expo-on for all this weekend.

They had a photo comp running before this and all the images will be up on display in Blackbutt hall.Had a little success in it too.

with this yellow robin getting the highest score out of all the entries 24 out of 27,I won the advanced nature section.And
also ended up with second in the same section.

So,if your up in the Kilcoy area and the Wine festival,and want to come a little further afterwards-there will be lots to see and do here too.

Well I went to the kilcoy food wine and art festival paid my $10 to get in and was kinda disappointed. Not only wasn't there much to see or do but I couldn't even get a particular person that had an astro photographic display to talk to me.
