Ngc 2032 *Repro added*

Hi all,

NGC 2032 in the LMC. I'd never had a crack at this object before and got 12 x 5 min subs of LRGB and combined the L and R channels with 30 mins of Ha data I manged to get before the clouds last night, 2 x 15 mins subs.

This is my first real attempt at combining haLRGB and followed Adam Block's brilliant tutorial as best as I could. I must admit, I found the last few hours having a second go at putting the image together pretty taxing. The clouds are a bit of a blessing tonight, I can get some sleep.

Comments / tips / suggestions always welcomed.

Darren

Thanks Marty, just had a look at it on my mac, needs more data to make it jump. Maybe when this weather finally clears.

Your not wrong Trevor, Lot's to mess up and differing blends and gradients.
Overall though I'm pretty pleased with what I've achieved so far with limited subs. I'd really like to let the HA rip and get a couple of hours data which would probably also help with the noise. Thanks for checking it out.

Thank you Lester, happy you enjoyed the view.

Yeah I like this image. Great detail and quite fine whisps too. Lovely work Darren. The image is a little black point clipped though. It is hiding some other detail present.

Looking at it from a friends computer today, I have to agree with you Paul. Performed another couple of curve stretches. It now looks a little noisy but better detail. Time for some more data me thinks!

Thanks for the tip Paul. Now all I need is for the sky to clear and the wind do die down a tad.....

This one has come up very nice Darren. The Reflection nebula has maintained a nice colour even after adding the Ha to the image. Well done. Ha blending can be a real trial but it looks like you have made it work for this image.
