Getting up early for Jupiter

If you're up early tomorrow morning, you've got a Jupiter transit feast in store..

If you're up from 3:30am, you'll catch Io and its shadow doing the transit dance, and you'll catch the last of the GRS as it rolls around off the face.

Well worth getting up early for.. Io finishes transitting at 5am AEDST.

Don't forget Venus also.

Mornings will give you better seeing more often.

Enjoy Jupiter but look at the Moon and Venus also, this time of month.

Don't like my chances with this rain about, but I'll set the alarm clock just the same. The seeing can be mighty fine in sucker holes.
