Starry Night update prob

I'm having a few problems with Starry Night Enthusiast V5.

Whenever I update my software I lose all my saved settings. Everything. Home location, star sizes (max and min), Home location view (panorama) constellation outline and stick figure colours etc etc

Everything!

Is it a fault in the software or is there a setting so that it updates your software without erasing all your settings you've taken so long to gradually tweak???

Is this updating software or when updating asteroid, comet and satellite info?

Pretty sure it's only after software updates. Although those updates can also include new asteroid, comet and satellite updates????

How often do you do software updates?

Paul

I downloaded the PowerUpdate for SN Enthusiast 5 from the SN website and occasionally open it to check for updates. I only use it when I remember to run it.

Why?

Ok I just did a full upgrade on my pro 5.7 to 5.8.2 using the PowerUpdater and didn't loose any of my settings. I tried to do an upgrade of my Enthusiast 4.5 but wasn't able to. It was a freebee so must have some sort of upgrade prevention on it.

Sorry I can't help Matt.

No worries. Thanks anyway Paul.

I'm gonna get in touch with the good folk at Imaginova and see what's doing?
