Good looking birds.

A few from the last couple of weeks.

An eastern Spinebill hovering like a hummingbird to get the nectar out of a flower.
A Red Wattlebird
A New Holland Honeyeater which was very hard to get as they never sit still.
A Currawong chasing insects between the trees.

I feel like I am out-growing this 70-200 f4L very quickly for wildlife.I have to get so close to fill the frame with it.

I soooo want the 100-400 I see some people with...

Baz.

Great shots Barry. You must have got very close to get these with 200mm. Very impressive.

Hey Pat, I get as close as I can, make sure I get the exposure and shutter right, then crop to fill the frame. If I haven't got the shot right first, cropping just shows how bad the shot was to begin with. A good example is the graininess in the first shot.

Baz.
