Good article.
It even applies to Photoshop re Histogram clipping, in PS, Levels it shows the histogram, and one can adjust sliders to adjust levels, and tell wether or not any part of the histogram is clipped.

Thanks Tony I remembered part of your talk but not all of it unfortunately. Wish we'd had a video camera there so all of it could have been captured for posterity
