My "NEW" Scope Case

I decided to get a aluminum case made for my LX200 once I found out the ridiculous price of the Meade carry case being $325......the cost of this case was $390 total...I got some extras like Heavy duty Corner case wheel's and 2 lockable latches...I used my existing foam but I have to say the quality of the case is outstanding.....I cant believe for extra $65 you can get a case of this quality over the meade bag case......I am very happy with this purchase..

Queensland Protective cases made this case for me and I highly recommend them......

I would like to thank Beren/Arargorn for the idea...thanks mate....

Now Tony ,
I have just read on your new purchase from Andrews.

So it would seem you don't need my eyepieces any more.

Oh well maybe next time

Great stuff Tony , i like the feature that you can take the top off and have the capacity to move/lift the case without the extra weight , something we didnt consider with mine . With enough motivation {like rain} i can barley lift the case with the OTA inside but its tough so the extra mass removal is a great idea ...well done .

Why hasn't it got stickers all over it yet?

A case or a trunk has to have stickers everywhere.

Very nice case Tony. Do they custom cut foam as well, or is that why you used your own foam? It's probably going to be extra then if they can cut the foam out for you though right? Well, I officially have case envy now thanks a lot mate!

Yes they do cut foam......but it would be the same as my original foam...so I didn't see the point....

If I went for the hinged case then they would have had to cut me new foam...it was only about $80 for them to do new foam but why pay for something you already have.....
