A green Bug

Well, it IS a bug after all. The Ha dominates in this Hubble Palette version of NC6302; and there is a misty aura around it that I can't explain - atmospheric mosture?? It's in all the subs; source unknown.
EdgeHD14" at F11 (3900FL), OAG, ATIK11002M, S2,Ha, O3 6x10 mins each, Bin x2.
DSS and CS3 for clipped mask processing and finally cropped by about 50%.

Very nice Peter..... No need to wear out the NB filters. Looking forward to seeing something in real RGB colours. This camera seems to match beautifully with the big scope so RGB should be breathtaking. Come on!

Nice to see it with some colour, Peter, even if it's green

Great image Pete. The green halo may be the complex molecular cloud you have picked up in Ha.

Dave thanks for that link. I had never seen that surrounding haze in any other photos. I suspect mine was just a bit of condenstion though. I would like it to be otherwise but ....
