Ic5067/70 sho

I got the RHA mated to my FLI Proline 16803 camera during the full moon and so I
thought I'd take a test image using NB filters. I haven't imaged the Pelican for
years so this is the target that I chose. Why the bold colors? My wife thinks
they are pretty!! BTW, this is a relatively short exposure for a NB image --
only 2 hours per filter.

I also took a very short RGB image for star colors during the dark of the moon.
Take a look at it also. The image is only 54 minutes but it has a lot of detail
in it. I remember the days when a multi-hour image would not look as good!

The RHA demonstrates perfectly round stars across the entire 16803 chip. I am pleased.

I'm green with envy as my RHA order seems to be a long way from being filled.....

Masterful stuff as usual Tom.

Beautiful Tom, deffinitely has an AP quality look to it

I too have noticed 12" and F3.8 sure sucks in the photons, it's great.

Nice image Tom, not your usual flavour, however as equally well done. Star sizes are sublime. Since the likes of Mike have been using this pallette more often I have come to like this look. Sort of a three dimensional aspect to the final outcome.

Tell you what, Tom, I'd be extremely happy with either piccie!!!

They're a great scope, the RHA's. How long is the waiting list for one??

Not a bad price either...most certainly worth it, for sure.

Oh that RGB is divine. The NB is great but I love the RGB. Such incredible stars and detail. Like you say this would have been a 12 hour image of the past.

Its by far the best RHA image I have seen so far. Some of the original images showed harsh looking stars but yours look like a fine large APO refractor result.

The RHA shows tremendous promise there, better even than your fabulous AP155/155TCC setup at least in imaging time.

Greg.

I am not sure. Roland is able to produce these faster than other scopes due to its design and components.
