NGC 4038/4039 Colliding Antennae Galaxies

Wanted to image this for a while now. Happy that I manged to get some of the anntennae.

LRGB 40:24:24:24 subs at 8min.

Darks, Bias calibrated

Thanks Cosmic - This is a faint target so getting any signal was a bonus! You need a dark site and hours and hours of exposure time to do ti justice!

Looks a little clipped in the process. Everything else is perfect. Real good data.

Hey Marc - yes you are right. And now I think I know when in my processing steps it happens. It's when I set the tonal range. It seems to clip when I set the darkest parts and the lightest parts. I try and recover during stretching but it doesnt reverse the clipping as far as I want it too. Next target I will go easy on the tonal range setting! NB: Seems to be an issue only with the faint targets.
