12" Collapsible DOB with extras

It has been a hard decision but my shoulder injury is not going to heal properly for a while. So this scope is going to be sitting for ages not being used.

I am by no means giving it away, I have a 80mm Triplet and have an EQ5 Pro, this allows me to carry something around for a while till I can upgrade.

This for me has been an exceptional scope, at the beginning great visuals and the most recent possible imaging. The latter being the most rewarding. The imaging has not been the easiest but with the EQ Platform I made at the time it was brilliant and made things so much easier. Example of photos i have taken from the DOB are:
http://www.waelect.com.au/mswhin63/Moon%20-%20Full%20View/index.html#Moon 7 day 13-11-2010.jpg - Did not require EQ platform.

http://www.waelect.com.au/mswhin63/Moon%20-%20Close-up/index.html#moon 16_10_2010 10_48_25 PM_Framed.png My all time favorite moon shot definately needed the platform.

http://www.waelect.com.au/mswhin63/Deepsky/index.html#M42_3 2010_11_17_30PC.jpg - The one I am really going to miss about the 12" definately needed the platform.

OK enough of the sentimental value:
- 1 x 12" DOB Collapsible - Modified ALT bearing with rollers unable to find the teflon bearing, but if i do will pass them on if I find them.
- 1 x Motorised Focus control - http://www.opticstar.com/Run/Astrono...=0_10_5_1_3_10 - although connects with Crayford well.
- 1 x Case including various regular eyepieces - 25mm, 10mm, 32mm, 20mm, 12mm, 6mm Plossl.
- 1 x Glass 4" off Axis Seymour Solar filter for 12" scope - http://www.seymoursolar.com/product_...roducts_id=376
- 1 x Glass Seymour Solar Filter for the Finders Scope - http://www.seymoursolar.com/product_...products_id=43
- Monopod. Used this attached to the DOB base to take widefield images while on the EQ platform.
- Homemade shroud - Great for moon and solar shooting.
- Trolley for transporting around the home and to and from the car.
- Car travel support using original OTA foam mounted on a 3mm MDF panel so it is easy to transport around the place.
- I have also started to make a newer EQ Platform and will part with this but is by no means complete. Top section along with Aluminium radii are complete but the bottom board needs to be redesigned to manage the radii. Will pass on my knowledge. Included with this is my 1 RPM DC Geared motor and speed controller.

For obvious reason pick up only. May consider splitting.

$1000.00 - More Photos later.

The Finder-scope is an erecting right angle one as well.

I have included a Sieben 28mm lens which optically is good but need a spacer to achieve focus.

Table is not included.

From Left to Right

- DOB with trolley
- Case with various eyepieces and include a 1.25" double polarising filter for da moon and bright planets.
- Shroud (Home made from Lycra), Focus controller (motorised focuser is already on the DOB), Collimation Allen Key, 28mm Sieben Optics lens, 2" adapter. (Table not included)
- Solar Filter and Finder-scope Filter.
- Transportation device for OTA.
- Mono-pod (notice the legs)
- Finally the top part of the EQ platform I started.
