Another Maximum from Perth (montage)

As Grahame said in his earlier post the weather was bad and I couldn't get as many 'tweens' as i would have liked and no post maximum (bar 2) as a really big bank of cloud rocked in. Still this was as much as i could get.

ED80 with canon 1000D on EQ5. begining pics at ISO 100 and Maximum pics at ISO 800 5 secs exposure.

FYI Grahame and i share the same weather as we are only a few Km's apart.

all the best

Paul

Very nice indeed, now the spacing between the moon images have different spacings, is this normal, or was that a deliberate act on your part Paul.

I'm just interested, not knocking your work at all, its pretty good i might add.

Hi Leon,

thanks, it does not pay to do things by eye before you have had your second cup of coffee after an all nighter!

I appreciate the eye for detail and I do want to get better. Here is a version with 'perfect spacing and just a touch of clean up to bring out the detail. I have also added a less sever crop of my full pic showing some stars.

Many thanks to Peter for your kind comment as well.

all the best

Paul

Paul, some very nice images. We've been treated to so many great images of this eclipse in this forum, and these are up there with the best.

Good move to widen the crop. I much prefer your wider field version of totality.

Thank you Ivan, I agree the less severe crop makes it look like a lovely marble sitting there.

Hi Paul

Your montage is stunning. I was especially interested in the settings that you used at Max.

Many thanks - I will note this for Dec's lunar eclipse.

Cheers Petra d.
