Birds at Bell's Swamp

After getting the ED80 out for some (of late, rare) solar observing, I again pressed it into avian photographic service and another visit to the lovely Bell's Swamp. One challenge of using the scope this way is that the little alt-az mount that I use in this context won't point below the horizon, so if something is on the ground or water I have to shorten one of the legs. There weren't many birds on the water, but a good few in the treetops. Quite a challenge to get the scope pointed and focused whilst things were hopping about!

So here is a female Golden Whistler and a White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike.
