Pretty spectacular, especially all the lightning in the eruption column!!!. All that volcanic ash....I'd be collecting it for making concrete, the stuff sets harder than rock.

Can't get enough of these pics Liz, thanks.
I've stood right on the very edge of the caldera of an active volcano (Yassur) and seen the lava pooled at the bottom at times completely hidden by clouds of smoke/steam, the yellow stained sulphur vents, the smell, the ash, and felt the mountain shake when it "burps".
But to see a volcano erupting, first hand, that would be the ultimate experience.

That is just absolutely unbelievable! I cannot believe all that lightning and how much ash there is! Blows the mind!
