Losmandy GM8 with Argo Navis for $1500

For sale is my Losmandy GM8 mount plus Argo Navis for quick and accurate “push to” location of deep sky objects.

I purchased this mount from another IIS member (RayOfLight) 2 years ago, and all components are in excellent condition.
Argo Navis and associated accessories were purchased new from Wildcard Innovations 2 years ago.

Items Included:
·GM8-S Mount with Losmandy 492 Digital Drive System
·Tripod, counterweight shaft, and 7LB counterweight
·Hand Controller and RJ12 guide port splitter (for dual connection of auto-guider & hand controller)
·High precision RA worm
·High molecular weight clutch pads (very smooth)
·Argo Navis computer with GM8/G11 hardware and high precision encoders
·Argo Navis accessories (CD, cables, printed manual)

Full GM8-S and Argo Navis details are available at the following links:

We’re shifting house in a few months, so I expect it will be another year or so before we’re fully organised and I manage to build another observatory to continue this wonderful hobby.

This mount has been a pleasure to use for astrophotography, with quiet operation and very accurate tracking compared to the Skywatcher HEQ5 & EQ6 mounts which I used previously.

All of my imaging has been using a Cannon-450D / Skywatcher-ED80 / Orion- ST80-guidescope combination, with the last 12 months being pier mounted in my observatory.

New replacement value for the setup is approx $3050.
Offered at $1500 plus postage.

Prefer local pickup, but prepared to post at buyers expense (I would expect approx $100 to most places within Aust).

I have added some photos of the mount, plus a few images taken using the mount with the 450D/ED80 from my light polluted Melbourne skies.

Thanks for looking.

Jeff
