Thumbs up Don't tip off the ESO accountants

When comparing the three images, the other two of which were obtained by at least
some sub-set of the VLT array, a hard-nosed bean counter might conclude that it
is more economical to trade the expense of large apertures for Trevor's skill,
patience and dedication using more modest equipment.

However, as the rest of us well know, Trevor's skill, patience and dedication are priceless.

Well done!

Thanks very much to you all for your most positive comments. I must apologize, I posted a thread with the ESO VLT images on the Solar System Imaging forum before I noticed this thread on the Chat forum.

http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=75901

It bodes well for all of our amateur astro imagers when amateur data is used by the professionals, they are becoming ever more aware of what we can offer which I am sure will lead to many more pro/am collaborations.

Regards
Trevor
