The things you see and say

Well this afternoon has been an interesteing one. Where my mother in law lives will make the news for all the wrong reasons. I have been passing a white old mazda 121 with the number plates missing for about a week now, and i thought it rather suspicious that it was stolen and dumped. Last night when i dropped her home from Mothers day at our place i happened to say to her that i bet you there is a body in the boot - (half joking of course). Well this afternoon they had all the streets blocked off - they found a woman in the boot.

Geez, she would have been on the nose a bit. Surely someone would have smelled something off.

Not good to hear about. Terrible way to go, just being dumped in a car boot.
Hang the culprit by his goonies.

Dangerous thing to say to the MIL hope you get on well, can you imagine she'll be on the phone too the Police in no time,

"Officer my SIL said to me the other day theres probably a body in the boot of that car you found"

"Yes maam"

"Well how did he know, he's a smart one"

She'll have you as prime suspect before you know it.

That's pretty scary Dave.

When you think about 20 years ago you could joke about is and be safe, these days you just don't know any more.
