Yesterday's Sun (Sat May 7)

I managed to capture some sun on Saturday, and have just managed to process some of the data. I also had a play with the 2.5x Power mate again too.

Very good images there!
Just think what activity there will be in a couple of years!
The daily excitement level just grows and grows...nothing "static" about the Sun.

Thanks Paul and Ken. Solar maxima will be worth seeing, but I'm in no hurry to get there... I want it to last as long as possible.

Nice work Al. Great detail in the shots.

I wonder if the southern hemisphere was the first to really fire up with activity at the start of cycle 23. This cycle has been main dominated so far by lots of northern hemisphere active regions. Perhaps it is part of the cycle too??

Thanks Paul.

I have no idea about the polarity of the cycle. I guess there should be some data somewhere. Interesting thought.
