The night sky in the UK

WOW, it's been a very long time since I posted anything.
Just got back from a trip to the UK for my sister's funeral.
I looked up in the evenings and was totally lost. I was staying in the city of Doncaster though, and the street lights were horrendous.
Eventually I found the pole star and the big dipper, but that was it. They really have nothing to look at, compared to us, I'm really glad I live here.

Flying has changed a lot since my last trip, Brisbane to Dubai non stop, that's 10,000Km, 14.5 hours, a scary thought as most of it is miles from land. Even worse for a smoker. LOL.

Mike.

Not sure if I can make it yet Mike.
Will be starting a new job shortly.
It's good to be back though, I have been neglecting everything for a while even the observatory.
