Fault line shifted up to 30m in 3 minutes in Japan quake

Japan's national broadcaster, NHK, report today that at a news conference yesterday -

That's an interesting story Gary.

When I read this and other articles about Japan being moved northward by a metre or so and then sinking by a few centimetres I can't help but think how fragile a planet we actually live on.

All of a sudden the story of Alantis may have some truths about it that have been lost into legend.
