I actually want to get out with my scope

I actually want to get out with my scope this weekend. It's been an eternity but I want to ease back into it with some nice shots of the Full Moon.

Unfortunately it doesn't look promising.

Going with Jacob to see Nitro Circus tonight (in the rain by the looks of it), and it looks to be cloudy/rainy tomorrow night too.

These spurts of motivation don't come often these days.. I wish they coincided with clear skies!

I'd invite you to my place Mike, but it's all grey cloud for the last week.

I know where your coming from Mike.
I bought a new Controller for my LX200 and havent been able to test it as the skies have been terrible.
I cant make myself get the scope out just to test without observing....
that would be unheard of....
Oh well.
It will clear soon I hope.

It's sort of familiar and comforting. Like roast dinners it reminds me of home.

Well Nitro Circus was good! The rain held off for the entire show. It started pouring shortly after we got home, and hasn't stopped since.

No imaging tonight..

Sorry about the rain...

I got the scope out here for the "super moon"...very bright but the family got a kick out of looking. First time in while to get the scope out...finally no snow and temperature just above freezing...spring is coming!

Does a few happy snaps through Sydney's cloud while trying to avoid getting rained (not entirely successful) on count? Sony a200 @ 300mm (450mm effective) 50% crop then 50% scale to get under the 200Kb limit.
