Hi everyone.
Jimmy from Sawtell NSW here, I've only just recently joined and thought I'd drop in and say hello.
I recently bought a 10" dob and have been experimenting with astrophotography and the philips ccd webcam with varying degrees of success.
Hopefully there are other astronomers from my area around here but if not all is well and good, I'll troll the forums regardless.

Congratulations on your new telescope purchase.

You will find that there's people here dotted all over Australia; some communities even have informal star parties once or twice a month at new Moon, or first/last quarter.

We have members all up and down the Central/North East Coast but I can't remember any others in Sawtell.
I think there are 1 or 2 in the Coffs area.

Keep up with the Philips imaging and ask any questions

i,m an ex-sawtellian lived there all my life and moved to moonee beach 15k's up the road..if you need any help with your scope am more then willing to give you a hand,but i don't know anything about astro photography.
