I think people between mike and myself were knocked down with the look that was thrown
Well, I thank you for the vote of confidance, I am a sausage addict, as you would guess, at least no-one that I know of put sauce on them. I threatened them all with instant death. I know how you Aussies are addicted to eating crap food with sauce to hide the taste of the (manufactured meat content).
I was happy to make them for you all, and to contribute to the weekend. I'm sure Iceman needed the money, to pay the bills.
Do you want me to post the recipe's, so you can make patties for the Barbie?
I don't expect you to make your own snags, but patties are easily made.
Home made sausages cost (on average) about $9 per Kilo, but by making patties the cost drops to about $6. The skins are the most expensive part, up to $27 a kilo. Dearer than the best steak you can buy, the reason is because of the work needed to clean them to food standards.
My recipes are all based on a 2 kilo batch of meat, which will make about 30 snags, but that depends on how thick you make them. BBQ snags are made thin, so they will cook faster, mine take longer to cook, as they have less fat in them.
Email me if you want the recipes.

Good sausages deserve good mustard, not to hide the taste but complement it, like wasabi with sushi or a squirt of lemon on fish. But I agree that flogging the dead horse is pretty barbaric.
Steve.
There are some things that need a sauce or mustard like Hot Dogs. But real sausages don't need anything. They have all the flavour they need.
Try my recipe in the "General" section, and leave out the sauce. you will be converted.
