Solar mosaic from Snake Valley

Whilst away I did a bit of solar imaging which a few here would have seen me undertaking. The seeing during the day looked good and I have subsequently re-processed the full disk shot that people saw at the camp (I will post that later ), but here is the mosaic that I was planning in the morning.

Top Stuff there Paul , what a ripper of a image and wouldn't it be great to do a mosaic of the complete disk at this scale, wall poster material.

Regards
Trevor

A beauty.

How do you judge daytime seeing? Do you have to use your camera to determine it or is there a way to check visually?

Greg.

Thanks guys.

Greg, just watching the live feed is what I do to check the seeing. Good seeing is when I can use a 5x and get a nice sharp view on the live view. This in all honesty was good but not excellent. I was using a 2x for this mosaic. I tried the 3x but the seeing did not come up to par. I have seen far better in the last year but did not have this camera at the time.

Al, that is going to have to wait a while. Planning on entering that in a certain comp. Don't want any spoiler alerts.

Sorry Stu I must be thick. Not sure what that means. Which group of galleries? Earth, Solar, Lunar, DSO, or Planetary?

Thanks guys for the comments.
