Ngc 4071

Hi to all

The weather at last seems to be releasing its grip in Canberra so, in keeping with my philosophy of going after obscure objects, I took this image of NGC 4071 in Musca. The seeing wasn't the best but at least it stayed clear.

Cheers

Steve

What beautiful. Among other things, I think a hard object and not resumed. It should be slightly larger than 1 '.

Nice shot, Steve

A x5 Powermate would've worked wonders for this object

Very nice object and well captured. The crop shows some nice detail.

That's what I thought exactly! Very nice to see it in its context.

Really like this image here Steve!!
Nailed the colour; the focus is pin point and sets the PN floating in an intense galactic sea.

The 100% up close crop shows some lovely structure within the bubble.

Great!

Not your typical object. Nicely done. A bit like 4 wheel off road driving.
Going down unexplored tracks.
I wonder if there are any undiscovered objects left in the Southern Hemisphere?

Greg.

Yes, another cool PN there Steve, with those two faint cross streaks across the ring it looks like a small Eight Burst nebula (NGC 3132) huh..? :-)

Nice shot

Mike

Thanks Mike. I've always wanted to do this one but never got round to it until now. It certainly does look like the eight burst.

This is nice. Great details. It's such a small object. I'm amazed you got so much definition in the PN especially in RGB.
