Troubles with OzScopes - all sorted

Hi there im just wondering if anyone here has had any troubles with "Ozscopes" and ordering items from them,I recently purchased a 10'' dobsonian for my cousin on there and it stated that it was in stock and hafter emailing them to see if the order went thru they tell me that the scope i am after is not in stock and they will recieve more of them on the 4th of march ?? i also purchased eyepiece set from them before and it was not in stock and i took 1 week before they posted them and im still waiting lol,im not bagging on there products as they have good prices just doesnt seem like there delivery service is up to par.
Has anyone else had problems with there service????

I've had no problems. I've had a 6" dob delivered to me within two days, and they have been extremely helpful with questions over the phone. Perhaps you didn't ask if the item was in stock? If your eye pieces were supposedly posted a week ago, I would be chasing that up. Could it be that you weren't home and there was a slip in the letter box for collection at the post office that went astray.
I hope all is sorted out soon for you.

I wouldn't panic just yet about the time for delivery.
My Mother-in-law sends us letters from inner suburbs Brisbane and they often take up to 11 days to get here in country Victoria.

But strangely we get stuff from USA within a week

But yeah, it would be worth giving them a call to see what is happening

Hi,

I bought binoculars from them. All went smoothly, and they were helpful on the phone.

I hope it will clear up for you likewise.

Cheers

Glad to hear that, Statton. And I didn't think you were jumping the gun at all, it was a justified concern.

Hi there, Statton -

My name's Greg and I work at OZScopes - so sorry to hear that you haven't had the best experience with us!

I just checked with the team and it looks like your order for the SAXON 10" Dobsonian Telescope has been shipped, and that you've received a tracking number for it. Do let me know if you'd like me to send it to you again!

Just ran that through the couriers website, and it looks like it's been delivered and signed for! The Dob should be in your hands now, but please do let me know if this wasn't the case.

We definitely try our best to take care of our customers, and we definitely do have our heart in it Really, so very sorry that delivery was a little late - especially since it was a birthday present!

The main reason for the delay was the system change we're going through,
but there was also a few days worth of a delay on both your orders due to PayPal holding the payment for security checks.

That said, we'll definitely work hard to make sure we have processes in place to improve our systems. I understand that someone from Customer Service will be in touch with you soon to follow up as well.

Do feel free to drop us an email at support[at]ozscopes.com.au if there was anything else at all that we could help with, Statton!

Best regards,
Greg

No worries, Statton - always happy to help.

Good to know that your eyepieces have been received, and it looks like your Dob's in the depot. Chances are it'll get delivered to you sometime tomorrow, but feel free to get in touch if you'd like to touch base!

Fantastic to hear you're pleased with your 2 eyepieces and barlow lens - do let us know if there's anything at all we can do to help you out, alright?

Have a great week ahead

Best,
Greg

Maybe the title of this thread could be changed, as it reflects badly on the retailer, which in this case seems to have done nothing wrong.

I have no link with the company whatsoever.

Cheers,
Jason.

Not a bad idea - the title could be changed to "Troubles with OzScopes - all sorted".

Me neither - it mustn't have been done correctly. I've changed it now

Let me know if you want something different, Statton.

I had a problem last week with OZSCOPES. I bought a 40mm 2" Super Plossl eyepiece from their listing and they sent me a 1'25" one instead. They admitted that it was the wrong one and couldn't get the one that was listed on their site. Nice people sent me a refund for the the return of the eyepiece but kept the postage costs that I originally paid. Ended up taking it up with PayPal and received the postage costs from PayPal today, 07/23/2013. Ozscopes don't return phone calls when it involves problems but are only too happy to ring you back if it means a sale. It seems to me that it is BUYER BEWARE.
