Saturn 18th Feb

SPX350 F34 11,915mm FL, PGRFlea3, Astrodon filters.

Tried the longest FL so far and maximum I can push the 5xPowermate at 7.5x power increase. Seeing was variable but one set was good, each channel is 80secs and this may be to long as colours separate out in the white storm cloud so may shorten this time.

Breeze was annoying but stayed away for 3 decent sets. Dark spot is moving off disc and seeing deteriorated around culmination.

R RGB - 1555hrs UT.
GIF of 3 sets.

Thanks Guys, the R RGB image was taken at 1555hrs UT Freddy.

Looks like another clear night tonight and hopefully no breeze.

Looking at the live video you can see fine banding in the red channel and the storm shows its detail and the blue is the key with Cassini remaining sharp and edges of storm remaining sharp, but not always like this - waiting for that 5min window of fine seeing?

Thanks, John.
