The Sun is pumping - 4 Active Regions - 13/02/11

Hello all
The Sun is quite interesting at the moment with 4 active regions putting on quite a show.
I managed to capture all of them in between patches of sun, cloud and rain this morning.

Scope - Lunt60 Ha
Imager - DMK31 with 2.5 Powermate (1/19 exp, 260 Gain and 36 Gamma)
Processing - Regiistax5 (best 50ish images from about 800)

Image 1 - AR 1158 and 1156, image 2 1159 and image 3 1157.

Nice work Matt, you’ve recorded some lovely detail in those images. You’re also a brave man; we have had showers on and off today in our suburb.

Cheers

Dennis

Very nice work Matt, super resolution, love just how well defined the structure is, certainly has that 3D textured effect.

Cheers

Great shots Matt saw these in white light and in Ha before the clouds came in.Due to some hiccups in my setup imaging the surface in Ha never turns out.Good to see some action though.

Thanks gents!
Dennis - after an early morning bike ride (please do not confuse me as an exercise nutter - I tow my son Flinders to the park 3 block away) the conditions were fantastic here in Paddington!
There were about 1/2 dozen planes crossing very near the Sun - I thought....yeah a transit. I snapped the images dodging some small clouds, came inside for coffee and went back out to find it raining....and they bag Melbourne weather!!!!
I hear AR 1159 is now flaring!

Thanks all - oh it is hot alright - many of our Brisbane days can get to 32 degrees but it is the humidity that makes it tough! We sweat for images!
