Valentine Rose
I was going over some rather old data and fould some raw files of Rosette Nebula... which on reflection seemed like they needed a little work.
O.K it's a re-pro.....but... it is a little soggy in Sydney... again....
the result can be seen here

Very nice Peter. Detail is magnificent as usual. The Ha blend has lifted the red but the OIII area is still very well defined in the core.
I like this one.

Thanks Marc, Paul.
The data has a bit of history (did OK at CWAS a few years back).
There is quite a bit structure which extends well beyond the frame....that would have been nice to add to the original data set.
.... maybe I need to move to the West coast for clearer skies!

Beautiful image Peter, great detail esp. around the dark patches of nebulae.
I'm with Marcus though - would love to see a full resolution view of this!

Humm... Not exactly a tragedy, but have to agree it was more a Valentines day pin-up.

Yes, the M104 is a very spectacular image.
It reminds me of the Sci Fi novel "Ringworld".

I'm old enough and grumpy enough to be totally unfazed
by the PC brigade..... ( I don't think Fred is in that camp yet )
Feedback shouldn't be always positive. "Beauty, is in the eye..." as they say..... and constructive critiques are most welcome, otherwise you tend to stagnate & not progress much IMHO.
No offence taken or deletion necessary here.
