Hi Mike,
Arkaroola is north-east of the Flinders Ranges in S.A.
Smoke form the Grampians however has covered great parts of S.A.
including reports as far as Woomera.
The Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary is a 61,000 hectare property owned and
operated by the Sprigg family.
Doug Sprigg is also a keen conservationist, astronomy enthusiast and pilot.
The Arkaroola observatory is open to visitors and includes a C14, Starchairs and
an Argo Navis pointing system.
Arkaroola was selected by the Mars Society to be the preferred site for
their proposed MARS-OZ simulated Mars base.

Hopefully those at Arkaroola will get some good skies.
Best Regards
