another hot Saturday night

well here it is 9.45, 33.9 degrees C and the poor little 40d Can only get to 10.9 Degrees C.

its ruddy hot, and the stars are a twinkling - badly

Sometimes i wonder why i do this...... i leant the other 40D to Scott tonight i have no idea what he is after tonight but with the heat i went for something bright. i am looking at eta - yes another one.... but i hope to combine with older data.....to help reduce the noise

who else is out tonight imaging

I'm testing gear in Brisbane. Trying out polar alignment with SSAG and PHD. Managed to intermittently find Rigel near the Meridian to adjust Azimuth, but now looking at a sea of "pooh" towards the west trying to adjust Altitude. Oh well, I suppose it's the first time in 6 months I have actually set the gear up, so that is a start!

Hi Dave

Wow! And I thought I was doing tough last night at 24 degrees. I managed to get the ST2K down to -5 deg C but that didn’t shift the pesky clouds! I think the warmest night I have ever had in Brisbane was only 28 deg C – I just cannot imagine what it must be like at almost 34!

I hope you sleep okay!

Cheers

Dennis

At home - 22:20 - 33.6C, 35% hum (only that high because the garden got some water around sunset), quite a few stars - twinkling enough they wouldn't stay in the FOV.

I got the PC/Monitor/Power Supplies in the dome today. Got the wiring roughed out and have it shooting darks, no stars here. I can get the qhy9 down to -25C but it's at 87% cooling, 90% with the entry door closed It's better inside the house with the aircon on

It's been cloudy here most of the night. I managed to sort a few things out nonetheless.

I was going to put a tarp over the rig and go to bed, but thought I shouldn't be lazy and put it all away tonight. Just as well, for as I'm typing this a brief shower of rain has just passed over...

Still hot and now even steamier!

It is currently 8 degrees here Dave.

We've been having 30's for the last few weeks and tonight its like winter is back

My Mum rang me today from Toukley (Central Coast) and said it was 42c there. It was 16c here when she rang

We have on our jumpers, Ugg boots, beanie etc. Weird!

You can have it. I hate the cold. Especially when we just got used to the hot.
