Test for those high powerd brains

Hi,
I have a curley question...My cousin is living in Bankok at the moment(and won't come home)..He is trying to install a satellite dish on his roof...He needs to point it to Geostationary satellites above the equator..Now...By my reckoning, to point something at the celestial equator(which is what we are trying to do isn't it)you need to minus the lattitude from 90 degrees??Bankok's lattitude is 13.44 deg..so that would leave an angle of 76.6 roughly wouldn't it??Has anyone attempted to do anything like this before...Any tips...PLease help

If you go to Lyngsat.com select the satellite of interest, locate yourself on the tracker pages and the numbers are spat out for you. But he'll still need some sort of signal meter at the dish to align it.

Setting to one dish is easy - setting up a tracking equatorial mount for a dish is a lot harder.

PS. Can you give a vote for my new name here :-
