After many months I have finally had time to install the filter wheel in the SBIG and try it out. RGB 10 mins each, self guided and combined in CCDOps with a little tweak in Picasa - yes I know!!!- one day I will actually learn how to use Photo shop! Camera in lo - res (=noisy) mode - 3x3 quick to see how things worked and if everything talked to everything else. Everything did work in the end but not before words like "shutter error" flashed across the screen as well as other scary SBIG messages which were remedied by fiddling with the securing nut to make sure the filters weren't interfering with the shutter which (eek!) they apparently were.
