Ipswich Flood

Some pictures from Ipswich.
They were taken close to the peak, and close to the 1974 level.

1) Limestone st in the CBD.
2) Brisbane st in the CBD.
3) View from Denmark Hill.
4) View from Queens Park looking to the CBD in Limestone st.

(PS My observatory is safe from flooding)

floods

A real shame, just no escape from the waters rising.

We have had 20 inches of rain on here on the blackbutt range since

last Wednesday.

My observatory is ok,but my work shed with tools and stored books and antiques is a stinking mess, the smell is the worst thing, and this awful sticky
mud. Will have to throw a bit of gear out.

Hope others have no damage.

regards Chris

Glad to hear your Obs is OK Brendan. Chris - hope the sunshine helps the stench at your place.

I've got distant relies who's house on the River is under - I'll be busy over there on the weekend provided the waters have receeded.

Good to hear you ok,David.

Be careful around the water, there are a lot of contaminents

in the water, also over on the fishing forum, its been said

Bull sharks have been seen in the streets of Ipswich.

Good to hear your obs is safe Brendan.

Has anyone heard how Troy and his family is fairing?

He lives near Milton.

Chris
