Rosette

I captured this 2 nights ago, had huge problems with windy conditions. This is first image I have had a go at since I have been crook.
Modded and cooled 40D from Central DS, 6 x 600 at 800iso using TOA130F reducer and LPS filter. Darks, flats and bias applied some PS mucking around, and uncropped.
Sorry slightly off centre, but rough enough for a 1st up in 8 months

Have to agree Pete! The lay off hasn't hurt your capture and processing abilities at all. Lovely!

Thanks all. But I really have had trouble getting rid of the cobwebs. My cooling fan on the 40D died as well, so no more imaging until that is replaced. It isnt a connection problem, there is a strong smell of burning when I smell the fan. I have had it to bits and there is no doubt the motor has snuffed it.

Good one Mate. Good to see you getting back out under the sky. You may think you are rusty but if this is rusty god help us when you get back up to speed.
Hope you get your problems fixed quickly. Good luck with it and may this year be a lot better for you and Hannah.

Thanks Doug, you were right about the cooling, it is still working, but needs the fan running, so with any luck that is the only damage.

That's a wonderful Rosette Peter. Plenty of detail, but still nice and soft. Not an easy one to get such a great image either

Andrew, nothing here at all, did a google search for the fan part number, could only find it in the USA. Managed to order 2 at $6.00 each, and $33 for freight, what a ripoff their postal system is.
