Lightning strikes ++++

We have had constant thunder and lightning since 1230 today.
Found a local weather station which says we have had 3366 strikes since noon!! Reckon I believe it too, as has been constant.
Luckily not too many scary ones over the house .... only 2 that I had to put my hands over my ears, and go lalalallalalaaaa.

Time to get some nice long exposures once its dark. Love lightning photos, just do it from a safe location, standing in an open field with a metal tripod isn't quite a good idea

According to Energex on thursday night we had close to 20,000 lightning strikes. We lost a lot of power too.

Cheers Clive, did try and take some from front veranda, though has netting on it. Too wet and scary outside.
Storm continues.

Ahh tropical climates during the wet season. Hot, humid with torrential rain and thunderstorms. Bliss.
