Far side of the moon revealed

‎Dark side of Moon no longer mysterious.

It hasn't been mysterious since 1959 when the Russian probe Luna 3 photographed it. But I am confused with those images. I thought the far side was mostly heavily cratered - those look like big maria?

And, by the way the far side is only all dark for a brief time at Full Moon.

The first image depicts the south pole region, the top half of which is visible to us (you can see clavius in the centre of the image). The second image is simply the Appenines Mountains and Mare Imbrium.

I don't think all the photo were released or the media took what they thought was interesting, noticed it shows a lot of what we can already see.

Looks to me like it is actually made of green cheese...and normal cheese as well
